POST 1-The most important issue today

the most important issue today is women's right's. when you look around canada you see men and women working the same jobs and for the most part earning the same wages. they both take maternity leave and they both can own homes. But just because canadian women are equal with men, it does not mean that the rest of the women in the world are.

middle eastern women are forced to cover their faces. they cannot go to school, they cannot even drive for themselves. they are kept in the dark and out of society because of the fact that they are simply women. they are told they will have a husband and birth children and that all there is for them. girls in africa are kept in poverty because they too are not allowed to have an education. They can't make enough money for themselves to bring them out of despair and into fortune. both women in africa and Middleast, as well as many more countries, are stoned to death for committing adultery and yet men stay unharmed when they commit the same acts.

if women were given equal rights they could do so many thing's. for one, since women are half the population, with an education possibly half the population could be brought out of poverty, and slowly eliminate it. with two, not one, member's of the household bringing in steady pay more children could be given a better education and more children could be receiving better medical care.with the movement women gaining equality, the world could potentially be brought out of poverty, and given a chance at global equality.
